The Choir of St Paul’s Church presents “A Choral Eucharist” this Sunday, June 6, 10 a.m.

Praetorius, Kopylow, Chilcott, Ippolitof-Ivanov & Manz.

The Brass Ensemble from the Royal College of Music from Stockholm, Sweden, will perform at St. Paul’s on Wednesday, May 12, at 7 p.m., in association with the Church of Sweden, Los Angeles.

We rejoice to receive Leah Borgeson, Corey Stigile, Jason DeRose, Andrew Hoag, Peter Huckfeldt, and Caroline and Ed Jaram into membership this morning. We extend a warm welcome to all!

The confirmation class kicks off its Lutheran World Relief “Health Kids for Haiti” service project. Please see the list of needed items below.

• One hand towel, dark color preferred
• One washcloth, dark color preferred
• One bath-size bar of soap (4-5 oz.) in its original wrapping
• One adult-size tooth brush in its original packaging
• One sturdy comb, remove packaging
• One metal nail file, or clippers with file atttached - remove packaging (do not substitute cardboard emery boards for the file, please)
• Six (6) band-aids, preferably 1/2″ to 3/4″, secured together with rubber band

Jesus Christ is ris’n today, Alleluia! our triumphant, holy day, Alleluia! who did once upon the cross, Alleluia! suffer to redeem our loss, Alleluia! A warm and welcoming Easter brunch is served in the parish hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continues until 9:30. A children’s Easter egg hunt is planned for the morning as well. Festival Holy Communion is celebrated in the sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. Our parking lot is always particularly crowded on Easter. If you are able to arrive early and find neighborhood street parking so that our many visitors may be accommodated, this would be most helpful and welcoming.

We prepare the sanctuary for the celebration of Christ’s resurrection, beginning with a continental breakfast in the parish hall at 9:00 a.m. The decorating and fellowship continues through the morning, with lunch on-the-go for all worker-bees around noon.
